The body is much older than the one that marks the date of birth. Half of our DNA comes from the maternal egg. But the mother’s eggs were formed when her body was still in a fetal stage, months before she was born. If someone is 20 years old and their mother gave birth to 30 years old, in a certain sense their DNA is 50 years old, at least in large part.
