The Human Cell Atlas is a project to describe all types of cells in the human body.

The Human Cell Atlas will classify a cell based on several criteria, specifically the type of cell, its state, its location in the body, the transitions it undergoes and its family, all with the help of neural networks known as artificial intelligence.

Atlases allow researchers to compare specific cell types throughout the body, revealing new cell functions and enabling new insights into health and disease.

Deciphering the cell atlas admits mapping all the cells of the human body, it is important to note that the human genome is a map of all human genes. It has been mapped in parts over the past twenty years, but the researchers are now in the process of creating a cell atlas.

The cell atlas project was initiated by the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and is funded by the European Commission.

The researchers, with the latest data obtained, have recounted the number of cells that make up a human being, stating that 30 million million cells are responsible for transporting oxygen in the blood, 84% of which are blood cells reds.

Scientists can use these cross-tissue immune cell atlases to help interpret and inform future research.

Researchers from the international Human Cell Atlas (HCA) consortium have created highly detailed maps of more than a million individual cells in 33 organs and systems throughout the human body and at all stages of development.

A group of researchers have set themselves a biological purpose and that is to find out what we are really made of. Similarly, an international corporation analyzes more than 60 million cells, giving way to the knowledge of many other cells.
